Employment Dialogue 1

  

Scenario: This dialogue is an interview between Jack a job search case manager and a job Seeker. The interview takes place in Jack's office at Job active.

Manager: Hello, I'm Jack. Thank you for coming in. 

Job Seeker: සුභ උදෑසනක් ජැක්. ඔබ මුණගැසීම ගැන සතුටුයි. ගිය වතාවේ මම කතා කළේ මෝරින් එක්ක. එයා අද නැද්ද?

Manager: She is on holidays, but I have already looked at your file and just need to discuss a few things with you. 

Job Seeker: හොඳයි මොනවද සාකච්ඡා කරන්න තියෙන්නේ? මට රක්ෂාවක් නැති එක ගැන මගේ හිතට හරි කරදරයි. සතියකට දෙවරක් ඉංග්‍රීසි පන්තියට යන නිසා වැඩ හොයන එකත් හරියකට කරන්න බැරි වෙනවා.  

Manager: I understand. However, you need to look for ten jobs a month to continue receiving Centrelink payments. Our network connects job seekers with employers and we'll try to help you. 

Job Seeker: මම දැනටත් මාර්ගගතව රැකියාවල් හොයලා තියෙනවා. නමුත් මගේ වෘත්තීයම දිගට කරගෙන යන්න මම ඉංග්‍රීසි වඩාත් හොඳින් කතා කරන්න ඕන.

 

Manager: What work did you do before coming to Australia? 

Job Seeker: මම වැඩ කළේ පරිගනක කාර්මිකයෙකු ලෙස. මම කෙරුවේ පද්ධති පරිපාලනය සහ වැඩසටහන් නිෂ්පාදනය.

Manager: You should try other areas until you're stronger in English. Your previous experience may be useful. Some companies offer training in areas where you may not need 100% English fluency. 

Job Seeker: ඔබට තොරතුරු තාක්ෂණ සංවිධාන එක්ක සම්මුඛ පරීක්ෂණ සැලසුම් කරන්න පුළුවන් නම් ඉතාම අගෙයි. එහෙම වුනොත් පරිගණක ක්ෂේත්‍රය දිගටම වැඩ කරන්න අවස්ථාවක් ලැබෙයි 

Manager: We'll see. You must prepare a resume. We can help you write one. 

Job Seeker: ඔබට ස්තුතියි. රැකියා සේවා සහ මාර්ගගත රැකියා ලැයිස්තු පාවිච්චි කරන්න මට උදව් වෙන්න පුලුවන්ද?

Manager: Definitely, you can also use the job search tools in the center link computers. We will schedule another interview for next week and finalize the final points. 

Job Seeker: මට දැන් වැඩියෙන් බලාපොරොත්තු කියාගන්න පුළුවන්. ඒ වගේම වඩාත් සුබවාදී. මගේ පළමුවැනි සම්මුඛ පරීක්ෂණයට මම අලුත් කමිසයක් ගන්නවා. මගේ පන්තියට පරක්කු නොවෙන්න මම දුවන්න ඕන දැන්. ගිහින් එන්නම්.

Manager: We will select available jobs and next time we may have good news, and you'll be able to wear your new shirt. Bye.
