Social Worker: Hello, my name is Melinda. I'm a social worker at center link. Do you have a minute to talk about your son?
Mother: මම සුපර් මාර්කට් යන්නයි මේ හැදුවේ. නමුත් ඒක පස්සේ පුළුවන්. මගේ පුතාට මොනවා හරි වෙලා ද?
Social Worker: Everything is fine. Your son has applied for youth allowance. And I need to speak to you about his circumstances. He said that you have an argument and you told him to leave the house.
Mother: ඔව්, අපි අතර බහින්බස්වීමක් සිද්ද වුණා. මගේ ගෙදර ඉන්නකම් ඔහු හොඳින් හැසිරෙන්න ඕන බවත් සමහර මිතුරන්ගෙන් ඈත් වෙන්න ඕන බවත් මම ඔහුට කිව්වා. මට ආරංචිවුන හැටියට ඒ අය මත්ද්‍රව්‍ය එක්ක සම්බන්ධයි.
Social Worker: Well, your son told me a slightly different story. He said that he wasn't allowed to return home. So I was considering granting him youth allowance at the living away from home rates.
Mother: ඒ ඔහු හොඳට හැසිරෙන්නේ නැත්තං විතරයි. තව ළමයි දෙන්නෙක් බලාගෙන මම ඉන්නෙ තනියම. දැන් ජීවිතේ හරිම කටුකයි. නමුත් මගේ දොර හැමවෙලේම ඇරලයි තියෙන්නේ. මට ඕන ඔහු ආරක්ෂාවෙන් ඉන්නයි.
Social Worker: It sounds like it's been hard for you bringing up three children on your own. Would you like to come into the office to discuss a few options on how we could help you?
Mother: මට කන්තෝරුවට යන්න වෙලාවක් නැහැ. හැමදාම සුළු පැය ගණනක් මම වැඩ කරලා ඊළඟට ළමයි පාසලෙන් ගන්න යන්න ඕන.
Social Worker: How about over the phone? I can refer you to some services like mediation, parent support groups and community organizations.
Mother: හොඳයි, එහෙනම් අනිද්දට ළමයි පාසලෙන් ගත්තට පස්සේ වෙලාවක් වෙන්කරගනිමු.
Social Worker: How does 3:30 sounds?
Mother: 3:30 හොදයි. ඒක මට දරුවන්ට කන්න සුළුවෙන් කෑමක් හදන්න වෙලාව දෙනවා. එයාලා ගෙදර එනකොට හැමතිස්සෙම බඩගින්නෙ ඉන්නෙ.
